The president announces the start of the meeting and welcomes any guests. At the end of the meeting, the president leads a round of applause for the Toastmaster, asks for guests’ comments, conducts any new club business, and closes the meeting.
Holding monthly executive meetings
Every month, the president holds an executive team meeting to discuss club business with the officers. If necessary, the president communicates the nature of the club business to the members.
Votes the club’s proxy at the district conference
Every 6 months, the district holds a council meeting. The president attends this meeting and votes on behalf of the club. Historically, the club pays for the president to attend the entire conference.
