Vice President Education (VPE)
The vice president of education is responsible for ensuring that the club’s meeting are educational and allow members to meet their educational goals. The VPE is the second-ranking officer on the executive team and presides over meetings in the president’s absence. In general, the VPE does each of the following:

Creates the club speaking schedule & track progress
The VPE creates and posts the schedule for upcoming club meetings. A special piece of software is used to help the VPE track members’ progress and schedule requests.

Files member achievements with Toastmasters International
When a member completes an educational award, the VPE files this award with Toastmasters International. This is done by fax, or on the Toastmasters International website.

Maintain an accurate club roster
The VPE ensures that the club roster is complete and accurate. When a member’s contact information changes, the VPE ensures that the records on file with the club and Toastmasters international are updated in a timely manner.

Coordinates club contests
Every 6 months, the club holds a speech contest. The VPE appoints a member of the club to chair the club’s speech contest and serves as a coach for the member chairing the contest.
