Melissa called the meeting to order at 5:36. We needed to elect next year’s officers. Nominating Committee Chair Michelle read the slate. There were no nominations from the floor, and so all Officer nominees were elected by a directed ballot.

The slate is:

Our new Treasurer John A gave his Ice Breaker, talking about his history. John had distributed “Vote for Adamucci” stickers – which were clearly successful.

Our second speaker James talked about “Paddle Caching”. This is Geo-Caching, but the only way to get to the caches is by boat (canoe).It was an amusing story, at least one lesson was to have a very good set of swim trunks…..the main message was “don’t be ‘that guy’”

Table Topics Master Richard gave everyone an opportunity to Fake It, and most everyone took advantage of it, some more so than others.

General Evaluator Mike S led an experienced evaluation team. Yao evaluated John’s Ice Breaker, and Michelle evaluated James. Bill as Grammarian, Dale as Ah Counter

During the final reports, Mary rescued and relocated a very large spider that had joined our meeting uninvited.

Toast of the Day went to John for a great Ice Breaker.

James won Most Improved Speaker.

Michelle got a “two-fer”, winning both Best Table Topics and Best Evaluator

John announced that he has additional stickers, and at a reduced price
Michelle has the Officer manuals for the new Club Officers
